Dr. Jennifer King, BS, RMT, CLC, DC

Dr. Jennifer received her Bachelor of Science (BS, Biology) from Benedictine University in 2005 and her Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, in 2010, where she was a clinical teaching assistant, who was nominated for the prestigious Clinical Excellence Award. Dr. King is a licensed chiropractic physician through the Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulation's Medical Board. King Chiropractic PLLC is also a professionally licensed entity through the IDPFR. Dr. King is certified in Board Examination Parts I - IV and has been certified in Physiotherapy by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) since 2010. Dr. King has completed the Spinning Babies Foundational Workshop. She has taken additional coursework with Dr. Marty Rosen and the Peak Potential Institute. She is currently completing her diplomate in pediatrics through the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) and working toward her certification as a postpartum corrective exercise specialist. Dr. King has more than 15 years of chiropractic experience and has also served as adjunct faculty, teaching Anatomy and Physiology I and II with Cadaver Lab, Biology with Lab, Structure and Function of the Human Body, Microbiology Lab, Medical Terminology, Pathophysiology and a variety of other health science courses. She currently teaches A&P at her alma mater. Dr. King has completed her coursework and competencies with The Center for Breastfeeding/Healthy Children Project and has passed the Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) examination with the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice (ALPP). As a certified CLC, Dr. King provides prenatal nursing education, trouble shoots breastfeeding issues, and helps patients build beautiful bonds with their children, while boosting immunity through breastfeeding. We also offer therapeutic ultrasound sessions, manual therapy, and kinesiotaping for treatment of plugged ducts and mastitis relief. Functional nutrition assessments are also available. A thorough history, food log, and evaluation including relevant laboratory exams/orders may be performed, in conjunction with muscle testing, and elimination/rotation dietary, exercise, and supplemental recommendations, based upon individualized results. By 2012, Dr. King had obtained her Reiki Master certification. She has worked, as well as volunteered with numerous populations, including oncology patients and those in NICU, delivering these services.
